Ouch!

Seriously. My bum has been achy for the last few days and I can't figure out why. Well, I couldn't figure it out until now. I've been secretly playing Wii Bowling while Jason is at work so I can get even more awesome at it than I already am (for some reason he CANNOT bowl worth a darn). I really take this too seriously. I just realized that I'm playing the dang thing with my whole body and...maybe I've pulled a muscle. I'm still better than him though, even injured!

More Pictures

Brandon playing a horse game on the Wii. He was her shadow the whole time we were there. She is such a good aunt.

Jack's expression made me laugh at this one. Brandon insisted on a pic with the walrus.

The boys playing the other day. Jack somehow ended up in the toy box.

We took the kids to the lake this weekend for what we think is our last time there :( My inlaws sold their house and will be moving in two weeks. The boys had a great time and it was fun spending time with everyone. Donna and Earl spoil the boys so much, I thought we'd have a fight with Brandon when we left. Luckily both the kids passed out the second we got on the road. We're crossing our fingers that Donna and Earl find a house closer to us so we can see them more often.
I also posted some pictures of the boys in their bath tonight. Brandon was being so silly and loud. He kept posing for pictures. Days like today make me count the minutes until preschool starts for the day, lol, he was quiet a handful.
Brandon is offically a full on Star Wars freak now. He asks to watch it every day. All it took was for Daddy to show him how "cool" it is for him to fall in love with it, too. He's also in to everything 'spooky' (we are trying to make it fun and not say scary). He's so excited for Halloween. When we go to the store he always wants to see the spooky things. He's been telling me a lot, "I scare me" meaning, that scared me or you scared me. It's really cute.

Brandon's 3 yr checkup

B had his 3 yr appt today. I was kinda worried cause at Jack's 9 mo appt the doctor asked how Brandon was doing (he wasn't with us) and she had me a little worried we'd have to see another specialist. Anyway, it was great. He weighed 27.2 lbs and is 35.5 in tall. He's in 5% for weight and just under 10% for height. His doctor was pleased with his stats and that he's at least on the chart for both. I was so pleased that he answered all her questions and didn't ignore her like he's been doing me lately. Brandon got his flu shot and Jack got his second one. Brandon was so cute cause the doc said that he could get a sticker after he was done and he was listening, apparently. The nurse came and gave him his shot and put a Looney Tunes bandaid on his leg and then we put him on the ground while Jack got his shot. Brandon ripped his bandaid off and said thank you to the nurse for his "sticker" (LOL, bandaid) and thank you for Jack's, too. He's so cute, the nurse thought that was pretty funny, too. What a relief! So glad the doctor thought he was doing great!

Big Boy Jack

So Jack is the big trouble maker in the house these days. Ever since he's learned to pull up and cruise the furniture it's like he's found this inner bad boy that didn't used to exsist. I've caught him on top of his little play table and Brandon's train table. He's started climbing in to toy boxes to reach things...seriously, I had no idea a child could be this much trouble before a year old. I must have had it easy with Brandon. If you tell him no he just gives you this adorable little look and his beautiful smile and sometimes you even get a nose scrunch...which makes me totally want to smooch all over that face. He thinks it's funny to get caught. I can't imagine what I have in store for me with this one. Here are a few pictures of him from this week. Check out those chubby-ish legs!

Also, more potty training news. Today we went to San Marcos to the outlet malls and met my friend, Jodi, and her fiancé , Alan, for lunch. We left the house at 9:30 and Brandon went potty before we left, we put him in a pullup. At about 11:30 he told me that he had to pee and since we were not close to a bathroom I told him it was okay if he had to go in his pullup and assumed he went. At about 1pm, during lunch, he told me he had to go again and I took him in the restaurant and he peed on the potty. We finally got home around 4:30 and I took him potty again and was SHOCKED that his pullup was totally dry! PLUS, he went pee and poop on the potty! I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am about this!!! So, today was accident free! Yay, to Brandon. Keep it up, kiddo.

Oh, and Jodi and Alan we had sooo much fun. Can't wait to do it again!

Some Progress

Just a little update on the potty training. Brandon had regressed quiet a bit around the time I went to/got back from Vegas. I gave him a few days of a break and then got back on it with him. The exciting news is that he's now POOPING on the potty! For his birthday he was given two packages of figurines (one from Wall-e and the other from Toy Story) and each time he poops on the potty he gets one figurine (there are about 6 in each package), well that's proven to be enough of a motivator for him. Today we went out to lunch and he told me that he had to go potty (quiet frankly I forgot he even had underwear on, lol) and he went pee. About two minutes after we got back to the table he said he had to go again and this time he POOPED in the potty! AT A RESTAURANT!!! And yet, despite all that progress, he still had two big pee accidents in his pants...one at "naptime" and the other right before bed. Jason and I are learning that you don't ask him if he needs to go, you tell him he does or he'll have an accident. Hopefully we are on the right track!! Keep your fingers crossed.

Curly

After the boys bathtime this evening I decided to fluff Jack's hair out and see just how curly it would be. I couldn't believe how much he looks like my brother did when he was a little boy! I don't think Jason cared for it much, asking me if I was going to leave it like that. Brandon thought it was hilarious and love it.

Just more proof that my children have no idea what a pacifier is for or how you use one, LOL. At least he got the nipple part out of his nose like he had it before.

And, yes, we are pulling up on everything and I've even watched him cruise around the crib when he's suppose to be napping. In other Jack news he's finally been eating more table food. The other night he has some french fries and then tonight he had macaroni and cheese and some cut up, cooked, veggies (green beans, peas, corn and carrots).

My New Obsession
